Luxpomz reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Pomeranians.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Early Onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy (EOPRA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this breeder. From the very first message, they were kind, patient, and so genuine. You can tell they genuinely love and care for their puppies not just as a business, but as little lives they’ve poured their heart into. Our puppy came home healthy, happy, and already so well loved. They answered all of my questions, kept me updated with photos and videos, and made the whole experience feel so special and personal. It’s such a vulnerable thing to trust someone with bringing a new baby into your family, and I felt completely comfortable every step of the way. I’m beyond grateful. Thank you for raising such a sweet, beautiful soul our family feels complete because of you. 🤍

Cinthia was very efficient in her communication. We are delighted with our new addition and cannot imagine life without her. I would definitely purchase from Cinthia in the future when we are ready for another dog.

Cinthia was very easy to work with and sent photo updates regularly until I was able to take little Marie home. Marie is very healthy and happy puppy.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
