I'm Amy L., the breeder behind LynnHaven Ranch Dachshunds located in Stevensville, MT. Each dog in our home is first and foremost a beloved family member, and we raise each litter with hands-on care, early socialization, and lots of love. We are proud to raise pups with heart, health, and the signature dachshund charm - loyalty, comical, huge personality all in a small package.
Q. & A. with Amy
Why did you start breeding?
Our journey started when my two young boys wanted a lap dog many years ago. We lived on 20 acres with livestock, so it was going to take a special type of lap dog to withstand a farm life. We did our research and found the miniature dachshund. Simply bringing one into our home quickly turned into love with their big personalities, loyalty, and unique charm packed all in their small bodies.
What makes your program special?
We focus on health, temperament, and lifelong companionship - not just appearance. All of our miniature dachshunds come from carefully selected bloodlines with a history of strong health and sound temperaments. We perform genetic health testing on all breeding dogs to screen for hereditary conditions common in the breed, such as IVDD and PRA. We love helping people find their perfect puppy.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include wirehaired and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include wild boar and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
