Meet the breeder

I'm Kimberly M., the breeder behind M7’s Shelties, Toonies & AussieDoodles located in Livonia, MI. All of our dogs live IN our homes. They are genetically health tested. We raise our puppies on the Puppy Culture Method and we start out with Early Neurological Stimulation from Day 3-16. Our Shelties are on the small side. We are here for the life of our puppies & offer a 2 year health guarantee.

Q. & A. with Kimberly

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a child, our family dog was a Sheltie and my grandmother and aunt bred Shelties. It was just in my blood so as soon as I got married I started my own breeding program.
  • What makes your program special?

The thing that makes my program special is that I am home raising the puppies and have my grandchildren here daily. The socialization and development that occurs because of their unique relationship is amazing. There is no way to duplicate the connection, trust and growth that develops from this. Our dogs and puppies are part of our family and we love and spoil them. ❤️
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Shetland Sheepdog puppies include white black and tan, white and sable, black and white, sable and white, blue merle white and tan, and black white and tan. Toy Shetland Sheepdog puppies include sable & white, black & white, black & tan, blue merle, and sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I came across Kimberly's page while searching Google for Sheltie puppies in my area. Before that search, I had never even heard of the Good Dog app. I'm familiar with what to look for in a responsible breeder, as I've brought home three of my previous puppies from breeders through the AKC website. I was pleasantly surprised when I found Kimberly's page. Seeing proof of the genetic health testing was all I needed to know that she truly cares about the health and well-being of the puppies she raises. I had the honor of adopting Daphne (formerly known as Bluey). I had recently lost my rescued Cardigan Welsh Corgi to old age, and I wanted my 3-year-old Great Dane to have a companion she could grow up and grow old with—preferably a dog around the same size as her late Corgi brother. The moment I saw Daphne, I completely fell in love. I immediately reached out to Kimberly to ask about bringing her home, and she was absolutely wonderful. She answered every question I had, provided all the information I needed, and even drove three hours to bring Daphne to me! I appreciated that more than I can express. Daphne arrived with a care package that included everything—and I truly mean everything—to help her settle comfortably into her new home. On top of that, Kimberly sent us off with a hug and congratulations, which made the experience feel even more special. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. It exceeded every expectation I had. Daphne is now the little sister to a Great Dane and two cats, all of whom she absolutely adores. Thank you so much, Kimberly, for raising my sweet girl to be healthy, confident, and well-loved until the day she came home with me. <3
