I'm Allison M., the breeder behind Mahan Labs located in Petersburg, KY. My dogs are family pets first. When I breed my dogs, I breed for temperament and to maintain the breed standard. I make sure to do all genetic testing and only breed dogs that will give me genetics that are aligned with the breed standard. I also do all OFA testing on hips elbows and eyes. My priority is to produce happy, healthy puppies for families and individuals to love!

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding after my 12-year-old English Black Lab and he passed away in 2016. I bought another Labrador, and I absolutely fell in love all over again with the breed. I then realized I wanted to do my part to better this incredible breed. They are magnificent dogs and are truly worth every moment you will spend with them!What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because my job to care for my family and I consider my dogs family. I also health tests; genetic testing, OFA testing of hips/elbows/eyes. I try to find the perfect breeding partner for all of my dogs to really enhance all of their amazing qualities. I am confident my dogs will make great companions for years to come, due to I raise all puppies with the Avidog programWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Allison has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price also includes AKC limited rights, a vet check, deworming, up-to-date vaccines, puppies being raised with the Avidog program and much more! Your deposit is nonrefundable, of course, unless it is due to us not fulfilling our obligation as sellers. All deposits are the same, no matter the color and gender of your puppy!”

Allison may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
