I'm Katie S., the breeder behind Makaraena located in Rothschild, WI. I produce top-quality pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be showing in conformation or perfoemance, or as an active companion. My puppies are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family that will match their temperament and personality.
Q. & A. with Katie
Why did you start breeding?
My love for Australian Shepherds inspired me to share this amazing breed with the world in a responsible way. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. It has been an absolute joy of a journey and I pride myself on helping all of my clients find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.
What makes your program special?
I am a professional handler of Australian Shepherds. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully health and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
