I'm Leslee M., the breeder behind Mallard's Miniature Dachshunds located in Montevallo, AL. Our dogs have proven to be the greatest companions to our family. We started breeding to contribute to breed betterment and to share smart and loveable puppies with other families. All of our dogs have an embark health panel completed.

Why did you start breeding?
I loved my Great Danes and retired from nursing. I had always wanted to breed Great Danes, after 5 years I decided to add dachshunds to my program .What makes your program special?
I do Early Neurological Stimulation on all my puppies with many health advantages, begin potty training and socializationWhat are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include cream, chocolate, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, fawn (isabella) and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
