I'm Deborah M., the breeder behind Malloy’s Providence Ranch located in Cushing, TX. We focus on health and temperament first and then AKC structure, as ready for the home as possible with intense socialization! Our dogs have been very carefully selected for health and temperament and many of their puppies will also be show quality, but every one will be “family quality.” Raised in the home with our other dogs and young children, working on potty training since 2-3 wks old, and desensitized to many things!
Q. & A. with Deborah
Why did you start breeding?
The work with other breeders got me interested in breeding and genetics to make the breed better and my Collie mix we rescued many years before that got me interested in Collies. When I was asked what breed I would focus on if I ever started breeding I said without hesitation, Collie!
What makes your program special?
We don’t have kennels. We have a home. Many come to us cause they see the difference it makes to have their puppies raised in the middle of a busy family with young children and our family dogs. We also have cats, horses, and chickens they are exposed to outside. Because we are hands on with the puppies throughout the day we are able to see their personalities and match to the right home.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle and white, sable and white, blue merle and white, black white and tan, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
