I'm Deborah C., the breeder behind Maltese Of Arizona located in Florence, AZ. I raised my children surrounded by many dog breeds, but the regal Maltese captured my heart. Their elegance, affection, and gentle nature inspire my passion for breeding. Maltese are cherished companions, and I take great pride in ensuring their well-being.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    It wasn’t something I planned it was as if the passion for nurturing and caring for these beautiful creatures simply chose me. I wanted to share the experience and responsibility of raising puppies with my family, creating a bond that would bring us all closer together. Breeding became not just a passion, but a family affair.

  • What makes your program special?

    My home is a sanctuary where puppies explore a large backyard, building confidence and curiosity. At 4-5 weeks, I start potty and leash training, ensuring a smooth transition to their new homes. Each puppy also gets a special outing to the pet store, picking out a toy to take with them—a comforting reminder of their paradise before they leave.

Getting a puppy from Deborah

Deborah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Deborah partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. Puppies are matched one they’re old enough for us to evaluate their temperament and personalities around 7-8 weeks old.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,800 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“MOA will be sending each puppy home with a gift bag for your purchase which includes a 5lb bag of food, chew toy . Also, a file which includes hereditary/ congenital one year health guarantee, medical/vaccine records, ACA registration/pedigree. A breeder contract and receipt of purchase. Non- refundable on a puppy of your choice.”

    After losing our beloved Maltese of 17½ years, our hearts were absolutely broken. She understood the emotions that come with losing a cherished family member and was so kind throughout the entire process. Because we were traveling from out of state, Deborah graciously kept our puppy, Viserys (now Gio), for an additional month until we could come get him. Deborah sent us home with an incredibly generous care package that included a full bag of high-quality puppy food, food and water bowls, toys, blankets, wipes, and so many thoughtful extras that made the transition seamless. It was clear that she genuinely cares about her puppies long after they leave her home. And then there’s Gio himself—our perfect little angel. He is spunky, sweet, affectionate, confident, and wonderfully socialized. He already understands boundaries, knows the word “no,” is well on his way with potty training and has the most loving temperament. What stands out most about Deborah is that she doesn’t just breed dogs—she raises them with love, intention, and exceptional care. The quality of her puppies speaks for itself, but it’s her integrity, communication, and dedication that truly set her apart.     Having just received our Maltese at 8 weeks old, with Deborah's training and instructions with us, she is already potty trained.     What can I say.. Deborah's puppies are so we'll cared for!! We faced timed for hours to see them bathed and brushed, plus lots of tips and their life as puppies in her home..
