I'm Rose W., the breeder behind Mama & I Yorkshire's located in Portland, OR. Our goal is to produce adorable, affectionate Yorkie puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs are carefully picked and bred to produce wonderful companions for their future families! We hope to find each puppy a loving forever home.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up raising chickens, pigeons, Doves, sphynx and Devon Rex(cats)I got my first dog at age of 14 a chihuahua mix, shortly after someone asked to stud him for a up in return- only to find out i had allergies. Then I saved up enough to buy my 1st hypoallergenic yorkie and met my mentor who started me on this path I am on now and with time I keep learning from more.

  • What makes your program special?

    I'd say the many years involved of me learning, educating myself and knowledge on this breed that i have. Honesty is the best policy. There is so much more too breeding then just a male to female, and quite frankly a lot of people do not care to do it right. I've come to learn that, and it's why my dogs go as pets only to avoid any injury or harm to them even in their new homes. I owe my dogs that!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue and gold and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rose

Rose has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes guarantee, akc limited registration or APRI for most our dogs ONCE spay/neuter certificate has been provided to us. These pups will be partially dewormed and have atleast 1 vaccine before leaving, the pups will be raised as one with our family, including our strictly indoor cats. Our puppies are individually priced based on set of parents, temperament body, size/confirmation and color. All are sold as PETS ONLY on spay neuter contract. Deposit are non-refundable and are to be made once you're name is up on waiting list and within 24hours. If you'd like to chat first give me a call, if no deposit is received i will move onto next person inline. Deposit go towards overall price and reserve your puppy for you.”

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
