I'm Melissa H., the breeder behind Manistee Farms located in Hesperia, MI. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

We are so grateful for Melissa and her support in helping us get our sweet pug, Winston. Melissa was extremely easy to work with and made the adoption process seamless. We reached out regarding an available puppy on Saturday afternoon, and after an evening FaceTime, we were on our way to meet our sweet little pug in person. Melissa was knowledgable and responsive, providing updates and meeting our schedule needs. In addition, we’ve had Winston for several months now and although we may be biased, we are continuously impressed with how good of a boy he is. He was litter trained when we got him, and quickly picked up on our transition to outdoor potty, he’s healthy, friendly with all people and other pets, and has the best balance of energy and sweet snuggles. We couldn’t be happier with Winston and cannot recommend Melissa enough!

+4I quickly could tell how much Melissa loves and cares for these pugs after facetiming with her. I’ve never used good dog before nor bought a dog before meeting them. We were 5 hours away from Melissa so stopping in to meet our pug first would have been hard. After facetiming with her and seeing our pug, I felt 100% comfortable. I could have talked to her for hours sharing pug stories. Our little guy is so loving. His favorite things are napping in the sun, cuddling and eating. Our whole family adores him. I would definitely recommend Melissa and Manistee Farms and when we are ready for our next pug, she will be the one I go to.
