I'm Melissa H., the breeder behind Manistee Farms located in Hesperia, MI. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

    Our puppies include silver, black, fawn, brindle, white, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Melissa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

She spent so much time messaging me about our sweet girl that it made it seem like we were the only family she was working with.     Melissa was a pleasure to work with—responsive, kind, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. Her family even brought the baby directly to us. Ernestine (Ernie) is beautiful, healthy, and clearly born in a loving, well-cared-for environment. As soon as we got her, she curled up in my lap and let out the tiniest contented sigh, completely melting our hearts. She turns one year old on July 4, and we couldn’t be happier with her.     The process of adopting a puppy from Melissa could not have gone any better! From the moment I inquired about a new Pug on Good Dog to the time she delivered Olive, my new fur baby, I felt confident & secure about Melissa.
