I'm Marilyn M., the breeder behind Marilyn's Dachshunds located in Whitehouse, TX. Our Dachshund pups are raised in our home. We put a lot of care into socializing them which means they are used to being talked to, picked up, kissed on & cuddled with throughout the day. We care so much about each of our dogs and make sure to find our puppies the perfect families and individuals.
Q. & A. with Marilyn
Why did you start breeding?
We started showing miniature dachshunds in the late 1980's. Through showing, meeting great breeders & with their help we started breeding. We enjoy watching the little pups grow into great adult dogs who are now all across the US and some are even used in therapy. We also are blessed to have repeat buyers.
What makes your program special?
We own all dogs bred. They are whelped in our home under our watchful eyes so we can intervene if need be. Our pups are used to household noise from day one. We only breed what we know to be sound and excellent dogs.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have wirehaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, fawn (isabella), brindle, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
