I'm Marlene K., the breeder behind MarQue Shih Tzus located in North Port, FL. I am a small breeder allowing me to give each of my puppies, and dogs, the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Since I was old enough to learn breeding basics in the early 1970's, I have always had my hands in some form of involvement with animals. I have had many great mentors through my journeys of breeding, raising, and professionally showing my animals. I love them all and am every thankful to have met them.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am an experienced breeder, and I take my role seriously. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, health testing, temperament, and breed standards, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents. I am confident that each one will become a treasured family member!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, liver, blue, gold, white, liver and white, black and white, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Marlene

Marlene has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Included with your puppy are the AKC registration application, a genetic warranty, age-appropriate deworming, Micro Chipping, vaccinations, and a veterinarian health check. Holding fee is non refundable because all efforts to place the puppy will cease immediately upon your holding fee being paid. Sales will be turned away based on your commitment to purchase that specific puppy. In the event that you cannot take that puppy your deposit may be applied to another litter at a later date.”

Marlene may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
