Meet the breeder

I'm Tina W., the breeder behind MarLoWin Aussies located in Philpot, KY. I am not a big breeder and I do take the health and care of my Aussies very seriously. Our breeding adults are all tested for PRA-PRCD, MDR1, HC, DM, and CEA-CH. I have preliminary checks of patellas and at two years we have OFA testing done on elbows, patellas and hips.

Q. & A. with Tina

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our first Miniature Australian Shepherd was named Marlow. My Kennel name is a combination of Marlow and my last name Winston. When I purchased my first Aussie I had no intention of becoming a breeder. That quickly changed when I fell in love with all the aspects of the breed. Aussies are like potato chips and you cannot stop at one.
  • What makes your program special?

Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include black, red merle, and blue merle. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
