Hello friends, and happy September. 🍂 It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer passed. Our last post, back in June, came after the heartbreaking loss of two puppies from our Adventurer’s Guild litter. We stepped away from social media to focus on healing and spending quiet time with our dogs. That time has been full of reflection, and in that space we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close MAS-terful Companions. There will be no future litters under our program. This wasn’t a decision made overnight. It’s one we came to with care and clarity - guided by what’s best for our family, and what’s best for our dogs. We’re proud of the heart we poured into this journey, even when it tested us. We’ve known joy, heartbreak, growth, and grace - and we leave this chapter with gratitude for everything it taught us. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be slowly introducing a few of the companions still here with us - each one deeply loved, and each at a different point in their journey. These are dogs who’ve shared our home, our routines, and our hearts. We’ll be sharing more about them one at a time, with care and thoughtfulness, as we move through this next season. 🐾 For those who followed the Adventurer’s Guild litter: This summer brought some of the deepest joys - and hardest moments - we’ve ever known. Losing two of the pups was a heartbreak we never saw coming… and though it wasn’t due to any fault or lapse in care - it left a lasting mark. At the same time, we’re incredibly grateful for the families who walked that road with us. Their patience, compassion, and trust meant everything - and the extra time we spent with the remaining pups brought moments of connection we’ll never forget. It wasn’t the ending we imagined… but in many ways, it was the one that helped us understand just how much heart this journey held. And we carry them - all of them - with us always. Thank you - truly - for being part of this journey. The story wouldn’t have been the same without you - and it was better for having you in it. This chapter may be closing… but the love behind it lives on in every wag, every story, and every soul that’s been touched by these little shepherd hearts. With love, Kelly & the MAS-terful Companions Crew 🐾

🌿 A Quiet Pause at MAS-terful Companions 🌿 Over the past week, our hearts have been heavy as we grieve the sudden and unexpected loss of two of our precious puppies, Solren and Enzo (Valor). There are no words that fully capture the sorrow of losing such young, bright spirits - or the depth of love they brought in their short time with us. In the wake of this loss, we’ve stepped back quietly - to grieve, to care for their siblings, and to support the families who were directly affected. This week has been one of deep stillness, reflection, and quiet devotion. Fenwick, Moondrop, and RiffRaff are all thriving. They’re healthy, very playful, and going through a growth spurt - little sparks of joy helping to guide us through. 💛 We’ll resume photo and video updates next week, including a long-awaited outdoor shoot (if the weather cooperates). Until then, we’re keeping things tender and low to the ground, giving our full attention to all furbabies and the healing process. We’ve felt every kind word, every quiet check-in, and every bit of gentle grace sent our way - and it’s made all the difference. Thank you for walking this path with us in both the joy and the sorrow. With care, Kelly & the MAS-terful Companions Family 🐾

🐾 New Video Alert! 🐾 ✨Tag Litter Update ✨ The puppies had so much to say (and smooch!) when I returned to their temporary pen after the main pen’s daily cleaning on Tuesday - they asked me to pass along every tail wag, kiss, and happy squeal directly to YOU! 💕🐶 This quick little video captures their bright, affectionate energy and gives a sweet peek at how everyone’s growing and blooming 🥰 🎥 Watch the latest video update here: 👉 https://youtu.be/FgomORq4hZQ More photos and videos from this past week are still in the works - they’re just rolling out a bit more slowly than usual. Between some ongoing health curveballs and traveling out of state for our youngest son’s wedding this weekend, free time (and solid WiFi!) has been limited. That said, I am still editing and uploading behind the scenes whenever I can sneak in a moment. 💪💕 Heaven knows how much I already miss the pups like CRAZY - but our longtime dog sitter, Elmo, is house-sitting full-time and keeping everything running like clockwork. He’s been part of our dog family for years and honestly sounds like he’s having a blast! 😄 Just wanted to make sure something joyful made it up in the meantime - and this moment felt like the perfect dose of love to tide us all over. 💕 Thank you all so much for your patience and support. More soon! With love and happy tails, Kelly at MAS-terful Companions 🐾

🐾 The Adventurer’s Guild: 5 Week Update! 🐾 Whew… What a week! Between Greet & Meets, photo wrangling, and a surprise tag-team takedown from a cold (which promptly triggered an MS flare and benched me for a bit), things got a little wild… but the show must go on. And it did. 😅 The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Tuesday, and let me tell you… They’re in full character mode now. Every single one of them has leveled up with new quirks, stronger opinions, and much faster paws. Moondrop is already campaigning to be everyone’s best friend. Fenwick’s got this chill, cool-cat confidence — super friendly, super composed. Valor is all heart, eager to please but still figuring things out. Solren is calm, observant, and has that old-soul energy. And RiffRaff? Picture a tiny Buddha with linebacker energy - rowdy, cheeky, oddly graceful, and somehow always in the middle of something. 😄 Monday’s photoshoot? A smash success (mostly). Everyone brought their A-game… except Moondrop, who brought 10,000 lumens of gleaming white fur and broke my exposure meter. 😂 Don’t worry, I’ve fixed her portraits and the full turntable video will drop tonight (On YouTube)! 🎥✨ They’ve all started on kibble (puppy teeth = chaos), and are doing beautifully across the board - healthy, affectionate, spunky, and seriously into toes. Like, obsessed. I can’t take two steps without someone licking my foot and looking very pleased about it. We’ve been bringing them outside whenever Minnesota graces us with decent weather) and while they’re not exactly bold explorers yet, they’re definitely taking it all in. Think wide-eyed baby chicks… quietly soaking up the breeze, blinking at the sky, and wondering why the grass smells so weird. 😂 Huge thank you to the families who made the trek for visits this week - it was such a joy to share this magical little phase with you in person. Your excitement made it all the sweeter. 💕 More updates coming soon… and if you haven’t picked your favorite yet? Buckle in. They’re just getting started. 😂 Happy Tails always, Kelly @ MAS-terful Companions 🐾

Yes! It’s HERE - The Eyes Open Update! 🥳🥳🥳 Cross L’s Mr Boo X Pawesome Lil Ginger The Adventurer’s Guild Litter Week 3.5 Update The puppies’ ears and eyes are now fully open, and they’ve officially graduated from the whelping pool! (Fun fact: the day I shared their first pen video was also the day two pups opened their eyes fully and figured out how to use the pig rails as a launch pad. Clever little adventurers.) With sight and sound now online, we’ve entered the next stage of early socialization. Even with last week’s chaos, I’ve introduced a variety of sounds, volumes, and vibrations to help them grow into confident companions. They’re all progressing beautifully! Their personalities are becoming more pronounced by the day. For example, Moondrop was very quiet, and on the timid side last week, but over the weekend, she pulled a 360 - more engaged, curious, and interactive. Even full on wagging her tail when she sees you! It’s amazing to watch them bloom. 🥰 Everyone’s doing absolutely terrific, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their development! The recent camera and lens upgrade has already improved the quality of both photos and video, and I’m extra excited for the lighting upgrade arriving Thursday - that’s when we’ll really knock things out of the park. 📸 In the meantime - I hope you enjoy the most recent set of photos and video. 🥰Psst.. Don’t forget - Videos are uploaded to our official YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWbzS9tGBiD2LKBbF0zWL8cjDnQTEBzBV&si=do00M-Dde6jx1Ifp Scheduling Notes: Because I’m still catching up (and waiting for those lights too), the 4 Week update will be posted this Friday evening instead of tomorrow (Wednesday). After that, I’ll be shifting to a weekly update schedule every Wednesday, through 8–10 weeks of age (depending on puppy pickup timelines). Tomorrow is another jam-packed day, but it looks like it’ll be the last truly chaotic one for a while. After that, things should return to semi-normal - and I’ve already blocked off specific time slots for a limited number of in-person Greet & Meet appointments. For Those on the Waitlist: I’ll begin reaching out over the next few days to touch base, set up viewings (if desired), and kick off the Puppy Selection process - which will officially open this Saturday, June 7. Please note that selection may take up to 7 days to complete and will carry us through their 5th week. Thank you so much for your continued excitement, trust, and patience - these puppies are growing fast, and I can’t wait for you to see what’s next! 💕 Happy Tails Always, Kelly Jensen MAS-terful Companions Toy & Mini Shepherds, Versatile Companions.

Kelly J.
Hi everyone, First and foremost, thank you. I know many of you were looking forward to this next milestone, and I want to acknowledge that I wasn’t able to post as planned on Friday (yesterday). 😞 The truth is, despite my best intentions, my body straight up had other plans. I’ve been riding out a particularly rough MS flare-up along with Gastroparesis symptoms - and together… they hit me much harder than I wanted to admit. It’s frustrating, especially because I so very badly want to get behind the camera and celebrate this beloved Eyes Open milestone with you. That said, I want to reassure you that: - The puppies are doing fabulously! They’re bright-eyed, wiggly, and discovering the world one clumsy pawstep at a time, and it is every bit as endearing as you’d hope. 🥰 - Your excitement and care for them is deeply felt and never, ever taken for granted. - And the BIG update is still coming. As my health steadies, I’m taking the time needed to ensure the photos reflect the heart and joy of this moment - rather than rush through it. - Especially now, as I’ve been gifted an unexpected camera upgrade that I’m hopeful will make future updates both smoother and even more beautiful. It’s a meaningful shift - one that may even allow me to share more frequent updates going forward! 🥳 I’m incredibly grateful for your understanding and support as I balance caring for the furbabies with caring for myself. Thank you for giving me the grace to do both. 💕 With love and tail wags, Kelly Jensen at MAS-terful Companions

The Adventurer’s Guild Litter Update (Cross L’s Mr. Boo × Pawesome Lil Ginger) Puppies are officially TWO weeks old as of yesterday and you can already see a big difference in how much they’re growing compared to last week! I had originally hoped to post this update on Tuesday, a day early, but unfortunately I ran into some unexpected issues with the camera setup and had to scrap the shoot’s footage entirely. I did a reshoot yesterday, and while the photos still aren’t quite where I’d like them to be, I hope you enjoy the absolute adorableness all the same! We noticed that Valor currently has a perfect little Heart shaped marking right on his nose! How cool is that?! To make up for the delay (as my goal is to always post every Wednesday), I grabbed a quick little video of the puppies during our morning routine before breakfast- a little extra puppy spam as a thank you for your patience and support! They were lively this morning, and oh-so-cute!!! 🥰 Both videos (the turntable show, and the good morning puppies clip) will be uploaded to our MAS-terful Companions YouTube channel after I’ve had a chance to post this. Here’s the link in case you need it: https://youtube.com/@masterfulcompanions?si=2vlWp2eoQXQzQb06 At two weeks old, the pups are still completely dependent on Mama Ginny for everything - eating, staying warm, and cleaning up - but we’re on the verge of some big milestones! Eyes and ears will begin to open soon, they’re already getting more mobile, and we’re starting to see quick glimpses of their little personalities peeking through. In the order of current sizes, from biggest to smallest: Fenwick, RiffRaff, Solren, Moondrop, and Valor. Though to be fair, Solren, Moondrop, and Valor are all pretty evenly matched right now, while Fenwick and RiffRaff are holding steady in the “chunky monkey” category. It’s so much fun to watch their sizes shift week to week, sometimes it flips once they start solids (though not always!). To give you a fun visual: if you remember those Classic TY Beanie Babies back when they first came out, you’ll be pretty close for their current size! They’re roughly the length of a hand. So small! 🥰 We also trimmed all of their nails this week (except for Valor, whose nails weren’t quite ready, so his got a gentle file instead to stay on pace with the rest). Because puppies at this age can’t yet regulate their own body temperatures, handling is still relatively minimal. We’re keeping a close balance between encouraging early socialization and protecting their developing immune systems from temperature stress and overexposure. Can’t wait to spend even more time with the furbabies to prepare them for the next chapter! 🥰 Remember… Big changes are coming soon! Eyes and ears opening, improved mobility, and eventual ability to self-regulate their temperatures are all just around the corner. Be sure to check back next Wednesday, May 28th, for the 3-week update - there just might be a peek of blue or brown starting to shine through! 😃 As always, thank you for following along on this magical journey with MAS-terful Companions. Your support means the world! 💕 Happy Tails, Kelly at MAS-terful Companions

Big News & Beautiful Beginnings Ginny’s puppies are here!! On the evening of May 6th, she delivered her litter with textbook perfection - five strong, wiggly babies just as expected from her ultrasound. We are thrilled to share that this is a rainbow litter made up of: • 1 blue merle female • 1 blue merle male • 1 black tri male • 1 red tri male • 1 red merle male All five pups are nursing well, scooting around with gusto, and steadily growing! Mama Ginny is doing wonderfully, and we couldn’t be more proud. The pups will have their first vet appointment tomorrow morning for health exams and dew claw removal. Given what we have observed, all puppies, without a doubt, should pass the exam with flying colors! For those on the waitlist, as well as folks who’ve recently sent inquiries: I will be reaching out soon to check in. There’s a lot in motion behind the scenes (more on that in a moment), so if you haven’t heard from me by Monday night (May 12th) please feel free to send a gentle follow-up message. Your patience means the world during this busy but exciting transition! Speaking of what’s been going on behind the scenes… We want to personally thank each and every one of you for your support of Pawesome Lil Aussies over the years. It has been a true privilege to raise and place such incredible companions with families like yours. As of May 5th, 2025, Pawesome Lil Aussies is no longer in operation. While the business has officially closed, our commitment to the well-being of every puppy we’ve placed - and the families we’ve worked with - remains unchanged. That’s why we’re excited to share the launch of our brand-new, independent breeding program: MAS-terful Companions LLC - Miniature American Shepherds, MAS-terfully Versatile. Although MAS-terful Companions is a completely new and separate entity, we will continue to offer support and guidance to all former clients of Pawesome Lil Aussies. Whether you have questions about your dog’s care, registration, or just want to stay connected - we are here for you. At MAS-terful Companions, we’re building on everything that made PLA special - while also raising the bar. This next chapter brings a deeper commitment to intentional breeding, with enhanced focus on structure, temperament, health, and lifelong support. Part of this evolution involves our breed registration direction. We currently carry two types of registrations: • AKC (American Kennel Club) - Miniature American Shepherds (our primary focus moving forward) • ASDR (American Stock Dog Registry) - Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds Although the names differ, these dogs are fundamentally the same breed. The shift in naming is largely due to AKC restructuring: despite their name, Australian Shepherds were actually developed in the United States. To reduce confusion and formalize recognition, the AKC designated the smaller sizes as Miniature American Shepherds. Over time, MAS-terful Companions will transition fully to this classification in alignment with our long-term goals and vision. All social media platforms are currently under construction, so you’ll notice gradual updates as we embrace this refined identity with more clarity, polish, and purpose. There’s so much more to share soon - but for now: five puppies, one thriving mama, and a beautiful beginning to a new era. 💕 __________________________________ TL;DR: (Too Long, Didn’t Read) • Ginny delivered 5 healthy puppies on May 6th: 1 Blue Merle Female (BMF), 1 Blue Merle Male (BMM), 1 Black Tri Male (BTM), 1 Red Tri Male (RTM), 1 Red Merle Male (RMM) • First vet visit is tomorrow (exam + dew claw removal) • Waitlist & new inquiries will be contacted soon — follow up if you haven’t heard from me by Monday night (May 12th) • Pawesome Lil Aussies officially closed on May 5th • MAS-terful Companions LLC is now open! Social media is currently being updated • Past PLA clients will continue to be fully supported under MAS-terful Companions • Stay tuned for more updates and puppy spam! Happy Tails! Still Baking… But Not for Long! Mama Ginny is waddling with purpose and looking very ready to meet her little ones! All signs are pointing to the furbabies arriving within the next 12 hours—our hearts (and cameras) are on standby! Because those first few days are all about keeping mama and pups cozy, clean, and calm, we’ll likely wait to share individual puppy photos, colors, and genders until after their first vet check (around day 4–5), once we can also share their health status. But don’t worry, we will share a “They’re here!” post as soon as the pups arrive, with a quick update on how Ginny’s doing and how delivery went. The waiting game is real… and we’re all pacing right alongside Ginny!

I can’t thank Kelly enough for bringing Charlie into my life! He’s the most amazing puppy—healthy, incredibly social, and an absolute joy to be around. Charlie LOVES kids and gets along with both big and small dogs effortlessly. He’s not just smart but also sweet with the best temperament, and he’s such a handsome boy! Kelly was beyond amazing throughout the entire process. She was always responsive, answered all my questions, and even provided a ton of training material to help us get started on the right paw. Plus, she went above and beyond by giving me a thoughtful care pack for the two-hour drive back home, which made the journey so much easier. Thank you so much, Kelly, for everything! Charlie is the best decision I ever made, and I couldn’t be happier!
