I'm Candace S., the breeder behind Mavericks Mini Dachshunds located in Eastland, TX. Here at Mavs Mini Dachshunds, we focus on responsibly breeding our minis. We raise healthy, family friendly, cuddle bugs! Our dogs are bred for health and temperament.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with Mini Dachshunds after getting my first two in 2024. While searching for AKC puppies in 2025, I realized I wanted to start my own breeding program. With the help of my mentor, husband, and loved ones, I learned everything I could—and now, we’re proud to begin our first year in the breeding world!

  • What makes your program special?

    What makes our breeding program special is the full-time care and love we give. Being home daily allows us to raise our puppies in a family-friendly environment, ensuring each one—and every mom and dad—is healthy, socialized, and deeply loved. I also enjoy connecting personally with every future puppy parent.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Candace

Candace has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Candace partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The total price includes puppy registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, and a go home bag. Nonrefundable $500 deposit on every single dog no matter the total price. This deposit holds the dog reserved for you and pays for its first round of shots and deworming.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
