I'm Josh C., the breeder behind Mayberry Dachshunds located in Mount Airy, NC. Our miniature dachshunds were hand selected for temperament, health, socialization, coat/color, and athleticism. They are very loving loyal dogs. They are all checked by a veterinarian with vaccinations deworm and health checks. We strive to provide the very best miniature dachshunds available.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding miniature dachshunds just for the love of the breed and a hobby for me and my daughter. We enjoy the whole process from pregnancy to the smile on someone’s face when they get there new companion.

  • What makes your program special?

    The most special thing to me about breeding is watching the mother care for the baby when they are born. It’s amazing to see. And of course the adorable miniature dachshunds puppies

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
