I'm Melanie D., the breeder behind Meldox located in Fort Pierce, FL. All of our dogs are bred, raised, and loved indoors to produce happy, healthy pets for those seeking the best family companion! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Getting a puppy from Melanie
Melanie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melanie partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“I like to read the application to make sure the Puppy and the person is the right fit. I know the Puppies better than anyone and know if they’re going to be Rambunctious or Calm. I temperament test them on their back. I touched their feet. I opened their mouth. I clipped their nails. I rubbed their bellies. I rubbed their heads. I massage them I can distinguish different temperaments and how they react to my stimulation. I’ve been breeding the same line in the females for years and know what I get. My puppies are very happy go lucky sweet friendly outgoing we don’t get skittish scared puppies that hide.”

About Kona
KONA is a STUNNING AKC BLUE CREAM DAPPLE miniature, long hair female. KONA has NOT had a litter yet I will be breeding her at her next heat cycle. KONA is very sweet and has very good confirmation. KONA loves to play with the kittens and lick their ears. She is great with children and all other animals. KONA is always licking someone or something. KONA loves to lay on the couch in her bed and chew her bones. She will chew them until they are gone or almost gone. Otherwise she will be on my lap and she always sits on me but first she backs up into her spot. I will be getting a genetic DNA panel on her soon before I breed her. both her parents were Embark Tested & PRA N/N.

About Spirit
SPIRIT is a GORGEOUS CHOCOLATE CREAM female with has a very gentle SPIRIT!! She loves to cuddle and be near you at ALL times. SPIRIT is a smaller female and is very Special to me. I lost her Sweet mother during a C-section and SPIRIT is the only puppy that made it. I knew I had to keep her even though she looked nothing like her mother. But, I see her mother when I look deep into her beautiful eyes and special facial expressions. Spirit is a wonderful mother and had two litters so far. I am debating breeding her one more time. We will see how it goes.

About ENZO
ENZO is a HANDSOME AKC ee CREAM miniature, long hair, Male (STUD). Enzo is small in stature but very mighty. Enzo loves his girls. He will kiss them and woo them and roll around until they like him. Then he goes for the breeding and as fast as lightning. ENZO is as FAST as a Ferrari. Love bug would be the name I would call him. All of his puppies inherit his wonderful personality.

About ASHER
ASH is a HAPPY AKC ISABELLA CREAM miniature, long hair, male (STUD). ASH wants a girl all the time whether she’s in heat or not. Ash doesn’t like to be alone. He likes company whether it’s a cat or a dog he doesn’t care. ASH sleeps with a stuffed puppy that vibrates and has a nightlight from batteries. ASH came with his name. I adopted him from a breeder in Alabama when he was older. He was more of a kennel dog, not very interested in me. He tried to ignore me, but watched every move I made. Once he got freedom in a big pen instead of a little box crate and learn to go in the litter box and not sleep in it. He grew to trust me. He constantly licks me, especially when I’m pouring his water In his bowl, he runs over and licks my hand. ASH is also a smaller male, and has to show everyone he’s the big man on campus by lifting his leg on everything. He probably had a lot of competition at his first home and had to Marcus territory everywhere. Unfortunately, that’s his only downfall because if I raised him from a puppy he probably wouldn’t do that. ASH produces wonderful beautiful puppies with great personalities. I love the Dilutes they are my favorite and I have been specializing in the color for over 38 years.

About WILLA
Willa is a WIMZICKLE AKC ENGLISH CREAM SOLID FEMALE with a BIG personality. Willa is very willful and knows what she wants lol. If you give her an inch, she will try to take that extra mile. Willa is extremely sweet and wants all your attention for herself. Willa loves to go on walks and is very good on the leash and sweet to other dogs. Willa is a very good mommy and very protective of her puppies. She will take them right out of my hand and put them back where I picked them up. She counts them constantly with her nose and make sure everybody is in the right place. Willo got her Call name from her strong WILL!!

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

A great experience that we believe was “meant to be”!! We are from CT and the puppy was in FL. We were going to fly down to get her but they ended up driving her to NY and we met there! She is an angel and healing my husbands heart after the loss of our girl pup in August. Our other 2 senior doxies are adjusting well and 1 of them even plays with her! So happy to have found Meldox and will definitely be using them in the future for more pups as we are a dachshund family and will be adding more pups to our pack!
