I'm Christine H., the breeder behind Meliora Maltese located in Dwight, NE. We show and raise AKC Maltese. We strive to produce healthy dogs that are well adjusted, have good temperament, and adhere to the AKC breed standard. We do NOT sell any puppies for breeding. All puppies sell on a spay/ neuter contract. We stand behind our dogs and have a 2 year health guarantee.

Why did you start breeding?
I was given a little rescue Maltese years and years ago. When she passed away I went searching for a breeder to get another Maltese, I was depressed by the practices of many local breeders, so I changed my mind and started looking for a way to create my own breeding program.What makes your program special?
While we do show and raise Maltese, every single dog is a pet first. Our dogs run our house and live with us all day. We are inspected by the state and our veterinarian comes to our house every year and does a full exam on every one of our dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Christine has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Christine partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Litter update on 08 July •I listed only 2 boys in this litter because 1 was already spoken for. These boys are beautiful and out of our champion dam Envy.

Litter update on 12 May •…The Happy x Pinkie is here! 1 boy and 1 girl. This was a difficult whelp as the little girl was completely sideways and would not move out of the way, so we took momma in for a c section. Everyone is doing great! Pinkie is an amazing and devoted mother, and these puppies are going to be some of thr happiest and most playful babies we have. Happy is just that... happy, all the time. Pinkie Pie is a happy go luck playful little girl that always has energy and joy to spare.

Program update on 08 Apr •We are expecting a litter from Pinkie and by Happy the first week in May (which will be availablein August). We are currently breeding Phoebe to Huxley for June (ready around September).

Program update on 01 Apr •Yum is ready now. He is a little too shy for the show ring, so he is looking for a pet home. He is playful, cuddly, and kennel trained for bedtime.

Program update on 02 Mar •…Trés and Yum just went through their kind of nervous phase. It's normal, and they are both now twice as brave and inquisitive than before. They are eating kibble like pros, and honestly have been one of the easiest litters I have ever had the joy to raise. I am holding off on their second sets of shots until closer to when they find homes. ( this will allow them to get their 30 day travel health certificate at the same time). They will be ready to go the end of March.
