I'm Melissa L., the breeder behind Melissa's Pekingese located in Daleville, AL. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    A "true" Pekingese (Pekingese breed with another Pekingese) is hard to find. One of my six isn't a "true" Peke, but still so loved by us. I traveled many miles, to many states, and paid a high price for mine. Which is the way it should be. I expected to pay for a good Pekingese.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are loved and well taken care of. My male and my breeding females are fed extra good quality food and have extra vet appointments during pregnancy and in preparing for breeding time.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
