I'm Tiffany M., the breeder behind Melsh Precious Pets located in Anamosa, IA. Iowa state licensed breeder Number - 12389. We are an in-home breeder of adorable, loving Miniature Dachshunds. Our dogs are raised and loved as a part of our family. We focus on health and temperament, and we are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding practices. We do all that we can to make sure our pups get the best care and go to the best homes!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black, brindle, blue and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tiffany

Tiffany has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tiffany partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We require a phone call to answer any questions and we ask questions too. We try to make sure each puppy is matched with the best home possible.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,650 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All of our pups are wormed at 2, 4 and 6 weeks of age. Pups receive their Neopar vaccine at 6 weeks old. They receive a vet health check at 8 weeks and their second set of puppy shots. All pups receive a full health/color panel from Embark. The vet issues a state health certificate. All pups are microchipped and each pup is AKC registered before they leave us. We do occasionally have APRI registered litters. Puppies are not held without a $500 non-refundable deposit.”

Tiffany may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
