Meet the breeder

I'm Merri L., the breeder behind Merrily Miniature Poodles located in Leesburg, FL. We raise a very occasional litter for ourselves to pick our next show and family dog. All health testing and DNA health panel are completed on the the sire and dam. Puppies are raised with lots of attention and love . They will have had weekly or biweekly shaves and baths starting at 4 weeks old and leash training will have started before pups go home.

Q. & A. with Merri

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had a beautiful poodle that was the best dog and when it was time for us to add another to our family we decided (with guidance from a mentor and approval from her breeder) to raise our own. Our family loved raising puppies and showing that we decided to continue in very low quantity. I have always been interested in showing but it wasn’t until my first homebred girl I was able to.
  • What makes your program special?

All health testing is completed and dogs are not bred before 2yrs. We do not have a boy so we can choose who is the best match for our girl for the next generation. We do not support doodling or breeding Merle mixes as that is not a pattern in the poodle breed.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
