I'm Michael R., the breeder behind Michael's Dachshunds located in Carbondale, IL. Early human and animal socialization is part of the caring warm atmosphere in which our dachshunds are raised. They are stimulated daily with sounds, surface, and tactile stimulation.They will have had 1st set of vaccinations, a vet visit, and dewormed before going home.

Why did you start breeding?
Our dogs are our passion, and we enjoy spreading the love of Dachshunds with other individuals and families by responsibly breeding our incredible dogs. What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
