I'm Andrea K., the breeder behind Michigan Labradoodles located in Chelsea, MI. I have taken on the challenge of raising this amazing breed with the best team I could ever ask for. I am a former teacher and currently a stay at home mom. Having animals is nothing unique to us. A giant tortoise, Alpaca, and unique tropical fish have all been a part of our family.
Q. & A. with Andrea
Why did you start breeding?
We are a family of pets! Including Sulcata Tortoise, Reef Fish, Alpaca, family dogs. Andrea, a stay at home mom, was looking for a way to help provide a little extra college resources for our girls. One year and hundreds of hours of research later, we fell in love with the Australian Labradoodle. Some of us have allergies and asthma so the best hypo-allergenic and great with kids breed was a must.
What makes your program special?
Because we are a smaller breeder, we are able to pour into each puppy. At four days old we begin our sensitivity and socialization training. Our girls are involved in every step, so our puppies are from birth connecting with kids. In addition, we have spent numerous hours investing in our temperament testing. Ultimately developing a home score for the most common factors when finding a home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
