Our Matching Process When you inquire about a puppy, we take the time to learn about your family and lifestyle, including: * Your experience with dogs and Shelties * Your activity level and typical daily routine * Children or other pets in the home * Whether you’re looking for a companion, performance prospect, or future breeding/show prospect * The temperament and energy level you feel would fit your household best * Any other preferences or considerations that are important to your family As the puppies grow, we spend time observing and interacting with each one. We pay close attention to their temperament, confidence, sociability, energy, independence, and overall personality. Rather than assigning puppies solely in the order deposits are received, we use this information to help determine which puppy is the best fit for each family. Families are welcome to share their preferences—including sex, coloring, markings, and personality—but our priority is always creating a successful lifelong match between the puppy and their family. We want you to bring home the puppy you love, but more importantly, we want that puppy to be the one that loves your family right back and fits naturally into your life. Our goal isn’t simply to place puppies. It’s to make the right match.”
