Annette B.

Breeder of Mi-Kis

Meet the breeder

I'm Annette B., the breeder behind Mi-Kis of OZ located in Jacksonville, FL. We care deeply about Mi-Ki and have built that love for this breed into our program. We are a member of IMR. This is the breed club who campaigned with UKC to have the breed recognized. I'm proud to say I helped with writing the UKC breed Standard and own the 1st Champion of the Breed.

Q. & A. with Annette

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with the breed at the Chicagoland Pet Expo about 18 years ago. The next year I was volunteering at the booth and the following year I had my 1st girl Rainbow's End Surrender Dorothy. Mi-Kis have always felt magical to me and still do all of these years later. There is nothing quite like the personality of a well bred Mi-Ki
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are pets first, breeding stock second. All the adults sleep in my bed every night. They are truly family members. Pups spend the first couple of weeks in a crate inches from my bed. They then transition to our living room so they are quite familiar with the sights and sound of family.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
