I'm Rachel S., the breeder behind Mimi’s AKC Yorkies located in Hephzibah, GA. We implement a DNA-driven breeding program. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!
Q. & A. with Rachel
Why did you start breeding?
I've been doing genetics-driven breeding for decades. I first bred quarter horses out in Montana, then bred Tennessee Fainting Goats, Miniature Dachshunds and finally settled on my very favorite breed of dog, the Yorkshire Terrier.
What makes your program special?
We are NEVER satisfied that we are doing this well enough. We constantly look for additional training as breeders, to improve the YT breed, to improve and upgrade our kennel and equipment, and to give the best care possible to our animals.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
