I'm Melinda T., the breeder behind Mindie’s Minis located in Bennet, NE. We are largely focused on producing puppies that are healthy and have a good temperament. We strive to produce sweet, loving, non-shedding puppies who are good with people of all ages and make great pets.
Q. & A. with Melinda
Why did you start breeding?
I started to notice that in my area (rural Nebraska) it was really easy to find a hunting dog, Pit Bull, or really any large breed dog. Small, non-shedding breeds were extremely difficult to find, and pet stores were charging astronomical prices for them. I wanted to be able to provide affordable, quality, “allergy-friendly” puppies to families in my area.
What makes your program special?
It’s a very small breeding program. We currently only have one breeding female and one who is still a puppy, but we have high hopes for her future. We do not own any studs; we work with a couple of other breeders and use their studs. We don’t produce tons of puppies, but the ones we do are very well taken care of, and given tons of love and attention. They are used to kids, noise, and family life.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
