I'm Roni & Tamryn H., the breeder behind Mini Aussies In Colorado located in Palisade, CO. We breed Miniature American Shepherds for companion and working homes. We strive to produce well-rounded, balanced pups that make exceptional family companions but also have the ability to thrive in whatever role they are needed. Our dogs work hard, play hard, love hard, and are part of the family. We prepare all our pups to thrive in their future jobs and homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have loved puppies my whole life. First I bred and raised Yorkies for 11 years. Then I fell in love with the Mini Aussies.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is all about hands on and being in the middle of family. My puppies are born in my bedroom and graduate to our living room/kitchen. They then get to learn to go out a doggie door to the outside. They go down a ramp to the great outdoors in the rain, sun and snow. They have a good 2.5 weeks romping as normal dogs and come sleep in the home in a large wire crate that is in the main room. It is a great life for a little puppy!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Roni & Tamryn

Roni & Tamryn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Roni & Tamryn partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Puppies are matched with their owner after they have seen our vet for a general exam. We encourage potential buyers to schedule an in person meeting with us to meet the puppies before making a final decision. We also welcome video calls to meet puppies virtually if that is more convenient :)”

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 refundable deposit and between $500 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes, 1st shots and worming, Vet examination, ASDR American Stock Dog Registry Application Papers. Health Guarantee form, Health Form. $400 Deposit non-refundable. It is transferable to future litters. If there is an emergency or unforeseen change a refund will be considered.”

Contract & health guarantee

Roni & Tamryn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
