I'm Micah G., the breeder behind MiniDoxPups located in Sacramento, CA. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! Quality, health-tested, and socialized dogs are the principal components of our success as reputable breeders. We’re proud of the seamless transition our puppies are able to make as fun, lovable family members.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Miniature dachshunds have been a part of our family for nearly twenty years! Starting with our first dachshunds, Wally and Daisy, our passion for the breed has only flourished. As our family has grown, each of our family households have continued to raise litters and share our love of minis. From their small stature, long bodies, and big personalities, dachshunds have made our homes happier.

  • What makes your program special?

    We follow all veterinarian recommended guidelines including pre-breed health checks, deworming, as well as providing timely and appropriate vaccines for each litter. Litters will get pee pad, crate, recall, and touch training + desensitized to fireworks, kids, and other pets. We combine our efforts to provide our litters with the best attention and care before going to their forever home.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, cream, red, fawn (isabella), fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and cream, black and cream, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Micah

Micah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Micah partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Micah has been absolutely phenomenal to work with! As a first time dog mom, I had several questions throughout the process and Micah was always super responsive & reassuring. Before we got our little pup, I always appreciated the weekly updates to see how our pup (Dobby) was growing. I also want to highlight what a smooth day pick up day was. Of course, it’s stressful for a new pup to be in a new home & surrounding, but not only was Dobby a little angel throughout the process, but Micah & team were so responsive to even our smallest queries after bringing him home as we learnt his habits. It’s only day 1 and we are already so grateful for all the little tips and tricks Micah shared about Dobby’s habits & made him feel more comfortable. I will also mention that we had very few potty accidents as (to our pleasant surprise) Dobby was almost potty trained when he got him! That was such a wonderful surprise.     Micah was amazing and very helpful; after looking through multiple breeders I decided to follow through with Micah and his dogs. Everything included in their prices is what sold me but I did instantly fall in love with Fudge and she currently is a very happy and healthy 12 weeks! She bonded so well at home, is easy to train, and her dog parents made it 10x more of me wanting her (Chase is so cute!) From the minute I was set to get her they kept me updated with pictures and how's she's doing before I was able to pick her up, they answered all my millions of questions on facetime and were helpful with food recommendations etc. Pickup went very smooth and both Micah and his wife were very sweet to meet in person, I'm so happy with my sweet girl!     Micah was incredibly responsive and always had answers to my questions. I received weekly updates on Biscuit’s growth, which helped ease my initial hesitation—especially since I wasn’t able to meet her in person before bringing her home.
