Meet the breeder

I'm Christine K., the breeder behind M&M Shelties and Smooch-A-Bulls English Bulldogs located in Weedsport, NY. Our Dogs and Puppies are born and raised in Our Home. They are Loved as Our pets first and foremost. We bred to continue on our bloodlines for the show ring. The parents are health tested and the puppies are born and raised in our living room. They are provided with top-quality care & premium food.

Q. & A. with Christine

  • Why did you start breeding?

We are involved in dog shows and are breeders of the Shetland Sheepdog, as well as the English Bulldog. The love, care, and health of our dogs come first. They are our pets and our fur kids first! We do health testing on our dogs and after a long, carefully thought out process in consideration for what would be for the betterment of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Be it a Sheltie or a Bulldog puppy? Our babies are socialized from birth in our living room. Contact, handling, sights & sounds of a home for a well-rounded sheltie or bulldog baby. We offer a 2-year health warranty for hereditary defects & lifetime of support for Shelties & 1 year for Bulldogs. They are wormed, microchipped & receive age-appropriate shots before leaving for their new families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bulldog puppies include fallow, red, fawn, and white. Shetland Sheepdog puppies include sable and white, sable merle and white, black and white, blue merle white and tan, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

“The price of the puppy will depend on the breed chosen. As well as if it is a show-quality puppy or performance/companion puppy. Please keep in mind if you do not complete an application. We will not answer your questions without completing an application. We put a lot of love, work and care into our puppies. We feel if you want to skip the application because it's too much of your time? Then you do not have enough time for one of our puppies. So please understand & take the time and tell us what you're looking for and about you/your family. We appreciate your understanding! A deposit of $1000 is due for Shelties, $1500 for Bulldogs, to hold the puppy to show commitment. Should you change your mind after putting down a deposit? The deposit can be placed towards a puppy from the next upcoming litter.”

Christine was extremely responsive at all stages of the process. The sheltie we got from her couldn't be sweeter! It's clear she knows a lot about the breed and cares for her dogs. Our pup was well socialized and transitioned easily to our home with an older dog and young child.

My husband and I were ready to get a second sheltie and a friend told us that she had a good experience on the good dog website. We are so glad we checked it out and found Christine. She clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into her puppies. She was always quick to respond and sent us a lot of pictures while we were waiting to pick up our new pup. It's been almost a week since we've had her and we adore her. She is the perfect mix of snuggles, affection, and confidence. We can already tell how smart she is. From day one she was making eye contact with us and comes running to us with her tail wagging! She loves to stay close to us and it's a joy to see her and our older sheltie running and play bowing together. We highly recommend her!

Great experience from beginning to end. Christine was very responsive. I found our future pup on a Saturday, coordinated the logistics with her on Sunday, and had our baby Blue by Monday. Our pup is healthy and rambunctious, and is settling right in with our other sheltie and our family. Blue was worth every penny, and we are grateful to now have him in our lives.

Christine is so knowledgeable about Shetland Sheepdogs. We contacted her, and she responded immediately…with information, with helpful ideas, and with photos of her puppies! She was never too busy to answer our questions or concerns. We had the most incredible experience with her (and we’ve dealt with many breeders over the last 40years)…it was an absolute joy to work with her. Our beloved pup (now 11 months old) is a treasure. Grace isGORGEOUS…but more than that she had the most gentle, sweet nature and she is so smart!! Christine’s breeding program is second to none, and you will not be disappointed. You can trust her TOTALLY!!
