I'm Shary S., the breeder behind Mohawk Creek Dachshunds located in Warsaw, OH. We fell in love with the Dachshund 12 years ago and strive to improve the breed. We hope to provide others with the opportunity to find their best forever friend, unconditional love and joy (and humor!). As our dogs have given to us, we hope to give to others.

We have had a wonderful time getting acquainted with Lili, and she with us! We are in full-blown puppy gear, and she is starting to learn the boundaries of what is acceptable behavior and non-acceptable. The first few nights she had to learn that it wasn't acceptable to wake up in the middle of the night. But since then she's been a real trooper and sleeps through until it's morning. She doesn't make messes in her cage and has been making progress on relieving herself on the designated pee-pad area. She likes the treats and praise she receives after taking care of business in the correct area, and sometimes listens when she goes where she's not suppose to. Nipping and biting continue to be an issue, but she's slowly learning what will and what won't be tolerated. She's taken a great liking to our three grandchildren and they to her, with our 7 year old grandson talking about the fact that she's his "new" dog! All in all, a great experience. Her initial vet visit went well, with no problems to date, with the next visit at the end of the month.
