I'm Jonathan & Ashley H., the breeder behind Mollie’s Maltese located in Rocky Point, NC. We are proud to offer our beautiful Maltese puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have sweet temperaments. We breed from AKC purebreds, with a focus on health. It's our goal to produce healthy, well-socialized, happy family pets!

Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding initially as a hobby, but once we got started, we wanted to increase our standards and it became something we decided to do on a bigger scale (though we are still relatively small). We have fallen in love with our dogs and are excited to be able to raise puppies for loving families who desire what we offer.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because our program is small, & we can offer lots of PERSONAL attention! Our dogs all live with us in our home. They have lots of room in their exercise pens & our fenced-in backyard. We do genetic testing on our dogs to ensure we're breeding healthy puppies, & everyone is vet-checked by a DVM. Both of our male Maltese studs have international heritage & champions.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Poodle puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Maltese puppies are white. Poodle puppies include red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Jonathan & Ashley
Jonathan & Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $2,800 - $3,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Quality pets! Poodles are $3K & Maltese $4K. Weekly check-ins. Vet-checked, first shots, & microchip. Goodie bag with food & a few fun surprises. AKC registration papers provided. Details in contract. Deposits are transferable, but not refundable. Should your puppy not be available within 1 calendar year of deposit date, it will be offered back for you to A) move on or B) continue to wait.”

Jonathan & Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 13 Dec. 2024 •…Though our program page has it appearing that ALL of our puppies are reserved, we actually still have several available for reservation. The puppies are marked as “reserved” because we want to honor our waiting list in order. Once the entire waiting list has chosen, then the remaining puppies can be marked as available. If you’re interested at all in any of our puppies, please let us know. We will likely have at least 4 females available to reserve. The litter featured in this update video is Maggie and Yu-Jin’s litter.

Program update on 26 Nov. 2024 •…We know some people yearn for a puppy and then make the big decision in December as a Christmas gift to oneself and/or the family. Though our tiny puppies won’t be ready for their new homes until very late January/February, we are excited to offer personalized video introductions that you can save and share on Christmas morning! We will hold your puppy, showcase your puppy, and let it be known that Santa has asked us to take care of the puppies for him until they’re big enough. Whatever it takes to share the special gift, we want to help with! We still have at least 4 puppies to be reserved. Contact us today to learn more!

Program update on 25 Nov. 2024 •…Mochi and Boba are both available for new homes. We had intended on using them as part of our program, but have decided to make them available to new forever homes. Both are healthy, DNA-health-tested, and we are happy to answer any and all questions! Boba is still a puppy, and with her small size, her AKC ribbon, Ms her health testing, she is listed at $4500. Mochi is still very young (won’t be 1 until mid-January). She doesn’t have any known health issues, either, and has a good Embark, too, with no disorders :) Both of these sweet girls are available now to approved families.

Program update on 25 Nov. 2024 •…Marsha and Cotton’s litters are here! There are a few puppies not spoken for (11/15 reserved). Please let us know if we can answer any questions for you. ALSO, we are happy to record a PERSONAL video for you and your family if this puppy is intended as a Christmas gift (since they won’t be available until the end of January and into February). Reminder: Four litters is an anomaly for us and we usually only have 1-2 at a time. All our dogs and their puppies have lots of space and are handled daily, loved, and respected as precious creatures worthy of it!!!

About Sugar
Meet the newest member of Mollie's Maltese! She is AKC registered as "Mollie's Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" but we call her "Sugar" for short. Sugar is simply adorable and is our smallest female at 7 pounds. She has a sweet temperament and has taken Wilma's place in our program since Wilma has retired. Sugar has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic health conditions! One cute little "quirk" about Sugar is that she "smiles" at people... she shows her teeth in excitement (never aggressive). It's so funny to see!!!

About Marsha
Meet Marsha, AKC registered as "Mollie's Marsha Mallow." She has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic conditions! She weighs abou 6.5lb and should hopefully be having a litter by December 2024. She's sweet as a little soft, white marshmallow (get it?!)! We found out on her pedigree that she's actually Maggie's cousin (but we had no idea until after we got her). We can't wait to get to know these tiny little mini "marshamallow" pups born November 16!

About Ruby
Ruby is Rosy's sister and is AKC registered as "Melody's Stellar Ruby Magnolia." Ruby LOVES belly rubs! Ruby has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic conditions. Ruby weighs about 9lb, so is technically a Miniature Poodle, but a very small one. We cannot guarantee the size (or color) puppies she'll have, though we will offer our best projections once they arrive, along with the DNA genetics panel. We hope to welcome Ruby's litter sometime in the early December 2024.

About Cotton
Meet Cotton, AKC registered as "Mollie's One Hundred Percent Cotton." She has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic conditions! She weighs about 7lb. Cotton is such a joy! She is extremely friendly and sometimes even bounces when she runs in her joyfulness. We adore her and can't wait to see her cute puppies!

About Falkor
As we expand our program, we decided that we needed a second stud, especially as we hope to begin keeping some of "our own" puppies to continue a good bloodline. Meet "Falkor," who is AKC registered as "Mollie's NeverEnding Story." We call him our little international dog, as he is part Korean Maltese, and part Russian Maltese. As stated in Yu-Jin's bio, Falkor is "Maltese" through and through, but simply has an international heritage. He has at least 11 champions in his pedigree, ranging from Korea to Russia to Ukraine, and one from the United States. Falkor has been genetically-tested through Embark and has no genetic health conditions! We cannot wait to see his puppies when he's old enough :) He is SUPER sweet with a temperament like Yu-Jin's. He recently won "Best in Breed" in an AKC Beginner Puppy Show! We are so proud of him!!!

About Rosy
Rosy is AKC registered as "Mollie's Rosy Red Blossom," but we call her "Rosy." Rosy has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic conditions. Rosy weighs about 11lb, so is technically a Miniature Poodle. We cannot guarantee the size (or color) puppies she'll have, though we will offer our best projections once they arrive, along with the DNA genetics panel. Rosy has completed two AKC classes, in obedience and in rally. Rosy has selected our daughter, Mollie, as her "hooman," having a VERY special bond. Mollie recently showed Rosy in her very first dog show, where she qualified twice and is one ribbon way from a title! Rosy's demeanor is regal. She never barked at others during her classes. Also, when the other dogs are barking, she usually doesn't. She's quite calm, stately, and adores Mollie! We love Rosy :)
Yu-Jin, dad

About Yu-Jin
Meet the male of our family who is dually-registered FCI/AKC. His registered name is "Gan-Ji of Big Eyes Love," but we call him "Yu-Jin" (which is Korean for "possesses value" or "is rare"). He is 100% Korean Maltese, born in South Korea, and comes from a champion bloodline. He weighs in at 4.5-5 pounds, has all his black points, and has been genetically tested through Embark. We are happy to know that Yu-Jin does not suffer from any genetic conditions! He is a real sweetheart and a fine sire. He offers stud service as well. We are happy to make Yu-Jin's Embark genetic testing results and pedigree available by request.

About Maggie
Maggie is AKC registered as "Mollie's Southern Magnolia" but we call her "Maggie" for short. Maggie is super cute weighs right around 7lb. She has a sweet temperament and is our first "second generation" dog, as she has taken Luna's place in our program, now that Luna has retired. Maggie has been genetically tested through Embark and suffers from no genetic health conditions! Maggie had her first litter in March of 2024. She was an EXCELLENT mommy dog, tending to her puppies in the strongest, most endearing way we've ever seen.

About Precious
Meet our surprise blessing, "Mollie's Precious Starlett!” Precious weighs exactly 5lb and has a wonderful pedigree, including even three ancestors from Shinemore and one from Marcris! Among her various ancestors are three champions as well. Precious has been cleared of all testable genetic health disorders through DNA testing. Precious has some cream on her ears. This doesn't necessarily mean her puppies will. With all of the positive physical and genetic factors, we are still looking very much forward to adorable, healthy puppies from Precious. The story of how we got her is sadly tragic, yet unbelievably beautiful. We are thankful for the opportunity to love Precious and to fulfill a dear woman's dream of allowing her to have puppies with Yu-Jin!
