Meet the breeder

I'm Tristany B., the breeder behind Monarch Miniature Dachshunds located in North Branch, MI. We bought our first Doxie in 2022 after adoring the breed from afar. In the wag of a tail, our hearts were sold. It’s taken 2 years of careful planning and testing. Soon, these tiny footsteps will grace their new homes. We are certain we have prepared them to be loving and loyal furever babies!

Q. & A. with Tristany

  • Why did you start breeding?

My extended family starting adding mini dachshunds to their family over the last 10 years or so. We always loved and admired the breed for how much braveness was packed into their tiny bodies! We waited a long time until our family was ready and we found the perfect puppy, our beautiful Zoey. After 2 years of careful planning and health testing, we had our first litter. We are absolutely smitten.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are raised in our home as forever pets. All my dogs are DNA and health tested and AKC registered. Puppies are whelped and raised in our home and handled daily from birth. We start ENS training at days old. They are also DNA and health tested. We believe that dogs should matched together based on conformation to better the breed and temperaments are heavily considered.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, black, chocolate, brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, fawn (isabella) and cream, blue and tan, black and tan, blue and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had a fantastic experience work with Monarch Miniature Dachshunds! From the very beginning, she was easy to work with—friendly, responsive, and incredibly communicative. She kept me updated regularly with pictures and posted adorable videos so I could watch my puppy grow and develop before bringing them home. It’s clear that these puppies are raised with a lot of love and care. Mine is incredibly social, confident, and comfortable around both people and other animals. You can tell she puts in the time and effort to ensure they’re well-adjusted before they go to their new homes. I highly recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a smooth, thoughtful, and positive experience. I couldn’t be happier! I am forever grateful for my sweet Charlee. 🐾

We had the best experience getting our baby Kylo through Tristany! Getting a puppy out of state was very nerve wrecking but Tristany always eased our minds she responded to every question and regularly updated us on our pup. She even helped us through the flight process. Definitely recommend getting a puppy from Monarch Miniature Dachshunds. We are so happy with our fur baby, he has such a good temperament and is so good with my baby. The perfect addition to our family, couldn’t be more happy with our experience.🤍

We were immediately drawn to Monarch Miniature Dachshunds after seeing pictures of their beautiful dogs on Good Dog. Tristany replied to our inquiry promptly and we conducted a FaceTime call to see the available pups and learn more about them. It was evident during our conversation that Tristany is passionate about the Dachshund breed and that she cares deeply about the health, temperament and socialization of her pups. We received frequent updates and pictures while anxiously waiting for the pickup date. Upon pickup, Tristany provided us with everything we needed for our girl - medical records, starter food, blanket, toys and more. It's been a little over a week that our Nala has been home with us, and we are so smitten! Nala is beautiful (OMG her green eyes), confident, loving and has such a wonderful demeanor. We are appreciative of the positive experience with Tristany and we highly recommend Monarch Miniature Dachshunds.

My beautiful Betty came from Monarch Miniature Dachshunds. Tristany was so great at sending photos and updates while we impatiently waited for our pickup date. She drove two hours to the airport to drop off my Betty. Tristany's customer service is excellent. My communications were always responded to quickly. I have not experienced such a well-adjusted, even-tempered puppy. I love that Tristany's pups are born into lots of activity and already used to children. We had a great experience with our adoption. ❤
