Q. & A. with Caitlin

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've always been a huge dachshund fan. Growing up my aunt always had dachshunds. I have a strong passion for the breed and a desire to keep the dachshund breed strong with appropriate breeding and a great understanding of genetics. My number one goal is to better the breed and educate myself in genetics, bloodlines, and conformation.
  • What makes your program special?

I spend time on a daily basis giving hands-on and affection to my dogs and the puppies I produce. I'm a firm believer that my dogs are a member of the family. I strongly believe in having a firm understanding of the genetics of dachshunds and finding the appropriate home for each baby.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Caitlin! From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and took the time to answer every single question we had—no matter how big or small. She went the extra mile and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process, which meant a lot to us when making such an important decision. It’s clear how much she cares about her dogs, and that really shows in the quality of her puppies. We brought home the most beautiful, sweet, and well-tempered pup, and we couldn’t be happier. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring breeder!
