I'm April J., the breeder behind More Than Family located in Broxton, GA. We’re a family-run business and we truly care about our yorkies! They are bred and raised indoors and we hold a special place in our hearts for each and every one of them. Our goal is to give every puppy and their new families a wonderfully positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My passion for this breed has motivated me to responsibly share their wonderful qualities with everyone. My dogs have brought me an incredible amount of joy, and I truly want to do my part to ensure my puppies lead happy lives while also spreading the happiness they bring to others.
  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs and puppies are truly part of my family, and I make sure they receive the best care possible. I love spending time with my puppies, training and socializing them to prepare them for their wonderful new lives with their forever families!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are chocolate, tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from April

April has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

April may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
