I'm Wendi L., the breeder behind Morningstar Cardigan Corgis located in New Mexico. We focus on intentional breeding so that we can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. We enjoy training our dogs, competing in conformation shows, and spending lots of time with them doing a variety of other activities! We love our dogs dearly and are so proud of their accomplishments.

Why did you start breeding?
I breed usually for myself but sometimes am able to share my lines.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and white, brindle and white, sable and white, blue merle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Puppies are DM tested, microchipped, wormed and will include at least first vaccinations and health check. All puppies are the same price regardless. All pets puppies are placed on a spay/neuter contract.”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your

About Meg
Meg is a female Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Wendi decided to make her part of their program. Wendi has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
