I'm Christina C., the breeder behind Mossy Creek Springers located in Eastman, GA. Our breeding program is dedicated to producing healthy, well-balanced dogs with sound temperaments that are suitable for active families and lifelong companionship. We prioritize responsible breeding practices, including thorough health testing of our breeding dogs, to reduce the risk of hereditary conditions and promote long-term well-being. Each puppy is raised in a hands-on environment that emphasizes early socialization, confidence, and positive exposure to everyday sights and sounds. We believe that proper nutrition, veterinary care, structure, and enrichment play a vital role in a puppy’s development. Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding through a lifelong love of dogs and a deep appreciation for the breed’s intelligence, loyalty, and versatility. What began as a personal passion grew into a commitment to preserving sound temperament, health, and structure through responsible breeding practices. Breeding allows me to combine purpose, education, and care to produce puppies that can thrive as cherished family companions.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is unique in that it is deeply rooted in hands-on experience, including actively titling dogs and participating in performance and companion dog sports. As an animal science teacher, my personal love of animals extends into my career, where education, ethics, and responsible ownership are at the core of everything I do. I am especially passionate about this breed and preserving its versatility, temperament, and working ability for future generations. A strong focus of my program is youth involvement and dog owner education, encouraging participation in dog sports as a way to build knowledge, confidence, and lasting partnerships between dogs and their owners.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-roan, liver white and roan, liver and white, white and black, red and white, black and white, black white and tan, white and liver, and liver white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Gatlin is a liver tri male and he is a water bug. He is a very laid back lover boy who prefers to sit at my feet and watch the other dogs play. He loves to tote toys and is a happy dog. He loves to retrieve a bumper also. He loves to play and get belly rubs. He’s our sweetest boy. He is in training to receive his Canine Good Citizen Title.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Fucosidosis, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Full Embark Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I absolutely loved Christina and her daughter Blair. They were welcoming and loved each and every pup. The kennels where the puppies stayed were clean and tidy. The pigs were an added bonus! I could not have asked for a better breeder. We FaceTimed and I fell in love with the pup I had chosen, when I went for a visit and met Christina I knew Mossy Creek was where I was officially going. I was very specific with finding the perfect breeder and pup. I looked for over 6 months! I am out of Augusta, Ga and traveled to Eastman to meet and pick up Aspen (moondancer). Highly recommend!!
