I'm Natalie B., the breeder behind Motega Australian Shepherds located in Rose Hill, NC. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Why did you start breeding?
I got my first Australian Shepherd in 2015 and I fell in love with the breed! He is my shadow and my best friend! I feel like everyone needs a dog like him. To me he is more of a person than a dog! Since then I have done a lot of research and picked dogs who will better the breed and become the perfect mix of a working dog and a family dog!What makes your program special?
We focus on the old lines of australian shepherds. We love the temperament of these dogs! They are willing and ready to work, easy to train, and the perfect family dog! We are dedicated to breeding 100% genetically clear dogs who are in perfect health! We also focus on producing great personalities in our puppies and love to produce a family’s dream dog!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
