  • Why did you start breeding?

    Growing up, I was surrounded by the world of breeding. My mom, an accomplished breeder of AKC mini American Shepherds(Aussies), taught me the ins and outs of the trade. As I grew older, developed a passion for it, using the skills I learned from her I started my own program, specializing in Sphynx cats. My program has evolved, I’m excited to be including AKC mini dachshunds!

  • What makes your program special?

    We're passionate about raising happy, healthy puppies in a loving home, where their health and temperament are our top priorities. Our puppies are born and raised in a nurturing environment, and DNA testing provides us with a health guarantee. We can't wait to welcome you to the Motorheads family!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, brindle, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kasondra

Kasondra has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kasondra partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes health guarantee contract, microchip, multiple rounds of shots, multiple rounds of dewormer, wellness exam, a puppy starter kit, AKC limited registration, your new best friend. The deposit to hold puppy of your choice. Deposit is a nonrefundable fee but may be transferrable in certain approved circumstances. The deposit not an additional fee goes towards a total price.”

Kasondra may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
