I'm Heather H., the breeder behind Mountain Range Australian Shepherds located in Solon, ME. All our puppies come with limited akc papers, a spay neuter agreement signed at pick up. Full akc papers/breeding rights available on select dogs for fee. Quality, health-tested, and socialized dogs. We’re proud of the seamless transition our puppies are able to make as fun, lovable family members.

What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Heather

Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Heather partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes a contract signed that covers all vaccines, treatments, training puppies have recieved as well as guarantees. Contract covers if full or limited akc registrations are included as well as disclaimers for spay and neuter that require acknowledgements prior to accepting deposit payment. Deposit is half down on each puppy which is non refundable. No checks accepted!”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Quick update. We've been so busy ive been slacking. We have 7 puppies left available for this year to be homed! Very likely no more until the end of winter or next year. We have a busy summer planned for ourselves and some big upgrades we want to get done for the dogs and future pups. So were going to let some of those things take over life for a bit instead of chasing, playing, training and cleaning up after puppies through summer and fall. We know the 7 pups left fall during a time most people are on school vacation and traveling. We have no travel plans this April so were happy to hold any pup no extra charge through April vacation for you. So if theres ones youve been eyeing, reach out and chat with me for a bit to see if one of our pups are a good fit for you! I slacked so much in didnt make our regular post about each pup as they home so get ready for those later this evening on facebook. I got Taz sweet little pups added. The deposits are half of their total. We'll start accepting deposits now. They wont leave until vet checks are completed and theyre 8 plus weeks. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to ask me to send you a deposit request on a specific pup.

Our last boy left is Hudson. He takes a minute to warm up to new people but once he has hes super playful and busy. Hes a real fast learner, this morning we worked on "sit, throw, retrieve, drop, good boy" he plays fetch so well. Hes great at sitting when asked, goes up and down flights of stairs and he is crate trained so will love to have a crate for the night or daily naps. He pretty well understands "uh uh uh drrrooop it" when he has something he shouldnt. Hes up to date on worming and vaccines, he passed his vet check in all areas. Hes raised in our home with us, children, cats and is around our adult do.gs as well. Over the next week ill be bringing his to spend work days with me and my clients so he gets more comfortable with random new faces. Message if interested in this guy.

Oh my goodness. Wait until you see our post later tonight. I just got back from a 48hr trip away and I was amazed at how much these babies have grown. Photos to come later! Gunnison got so big I was shocked at what 2 days away will make stand out to you.

Vet day went amazing! Vets said all puppies passed all tests for what they look for and that all the pups look healthy and very well socialized. We hear that last part every litter and what else would you expect with how much hands on time they get between myself and the kids. Tonight they move from a crate with a buddy to individual crates to help prepare them for being crated alone in their new home.

About Loxley
My absolute favorite dog. His disposition is wonderful, he's very playful, happy and excitable but he can come down quick from his excitement in a millisecond to follow any command. He's a very well tempered and mannered dog. He loves people and loves to play with children. Super friendly not a shy bone in him. Wonderful match for any female we choose to breed him with. Jackpot pup!

About Kyanite
Kyanite is extremely high energy, she's real quick like a whip, she enjoys being out in the pasture herding our cows and goats. We do not train our dogs to herd its clearly just very instinctual for her to do so. Quite helpful when the goat herd gets out loose! She loves people and is the complete definition of a wiggle butt it never stops. If she's not out bothering the farm animals she's at your feet shaking her butt. She's the smallest of our females but has a solid strong stature. She's a very human social dog and will accept love from anyone!

About Rajah
Hands down my favorite female we have. She's very loyal to her family, and has been a wonderful mother, she certainly has more of a guard dog behavior amd will alert us of people at the house but she's the first one to choose lounging around the house and laying at my feet vs playing outside. Not looking for attention just wanting to be close by. She's the biggest of our females and is a low energy aussie most times but can get quite playful with her pup babies until she tells them enough and she goes to lay in her crate.

Heather was absolutely amazing in communication from the start to finish. We were able to drive up to pick up Rio (now Cosmo) the day after finding his listing on gooddog and reaching out. Her love of the breed and her pups is evident in how well taken care of he was, and how well he behaves. It's an amazing help that she has the puppies play with her family and that she crate trains them before they go home. Rio has been a great addition to our family and we absolutely adore him.

It was such a pleasure meeting and working with Heather. Heather was so informative and helpful during our journey of finding a sister for our Australian shepherd boy Sherman. Heather and her family took such great care of our little girl ( and her siblings and their parents). We were so impressed with the little details and important moments they took time in preparing our little girl! From the early crate introduction to having a blanket with the scent of her litter mates and mom. It honestly made her transition from her first home to her forever home!! Our first night of course was scary for our little girl but she did so well in the crate with her blanket ( from Heather). But the following two nights she slept 6 hours straight and is still quite comfortable in her new crate. The bag of puppy food she was eating to the puppy snacks , treats, chew toys and poop bags, we were literally all set!!! Thank you Heather for really taking the time y think of all the things that are needed and important. We love our little girl and Sherman is getting to know and love his little sister. If we had room we would get more puppies from you all! Thanks for all you attention, the quick responses , sending all the important paperwork and mostly the love and care you give to these beautiful babies!!

Heather is amazing! Not only did I get the cutest, most loving pup ever, but also was kind enough to include toys, blanket, food. I traveled quite a bit, but she was very accommodating with my schedule as well.
