I'm Heather H., the breeder behind Mountain Range Australian Shepherds located in Solon, ME. All our puppies come with limited akc papers, a spay neuter agreement signed at pick up. Full akc papers/breeding rights available on select dogs for fee. Quality, health-tested, and socialized dogs. We’re proud of the seamless transition our puppies are able to make as fun, lovable family members.

Getting a puppy from Heather
Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“This price includes a contract signed that covers all vaccines, treatments, training puppies have recieved as well as guarantees. Contract covers if full or limited akc registrations are included as well as disclaimers for spay and neuter that require acknowledgements prior to accepting deposit payment. Deposit is half down on each puppy which is non refundable. No checks accepted!”

Litter update on 11 May •…Happy Mothers Day! Leif is our last boy from Rajah this year. I describe him as a wild little puppy. He's very active, stays very busy and self entertained. We're offing $500 off Leif this Sunday, May 11th. Get your Momma the new pup she's always wanted 😊 With our next litter due any minute, we want all our extra time to invest in the new pups so that they can be just as great as our past litter. Litter update on 11 May •…Today is this ladies' due date. She's holding those babies hostage still, but she's certainly getting tired, and we can tell it won't be much longer. We might have Mothers Day puppies!

Litter update on 07 May •…T-3 days Kyanite is just a few days away from her puppies! She's doing well and staying peppy for the most part. Every once in a while, I see her slow down and get tired. She's moved to the birthing box. Kyanite currently has a first place reserve should we choose to and a deposit placed for the next choice. We're expecting merles, black tri, and red tri from kyanite. Litter update on 09 Mar. •…Pup update! All pups have open eyes and walk on all four now. Leif, Heimdall and Vidar are now the top dogs with weight. Thora and Iris are the smallest. They all love being interacted with and grow more each day.

About Loxley
My absolute favorite dog. His disposition is wonderful, he's very playful, happy and excitable but he can come down quick from his excitement in a millisecond to follow any command. He's a very well tempered and mannered dog. He loves people and loves to play with children. Super friendly not a shy bone in him. Wonderful match for any female we choose to breed him with. Jackpot pup!

About Kyanite
Kyanite is extremely high energy, she's real quick like a whip, she enjoys being out in the pasture herding our cows and goats. We do not train our dogs to herd its clearly just very instinctual for her to do so. Quite helpful when the goat herd gets out loose! She loves people and is the complete definition of a wiggle butt it never stops. If she's not out bothering the farm animals she's at your feet shaking her butt. She's the smallest of our females but has a solid strong stature. She's a very human social dog and will accept love from anyone!

About Rajah
Hands down my favorite female we have. She's very loyal to her family, and has been a wonderful mother, she certainly has more of a guard dog behavior amd will alert us of people at the house but she's the first one to choose lounging around the house and laying at my feet vs playing outside. Not looking for attention just wanting to be close by. She's the biggest of our females and is a low energy aussie most times but can get quite playful with her pup babies until she tells them enough and she goes to lay in her crate.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Heather was great and very responsive she was very nice and very easy to talk to and so organized. We were able to setup a meeting to meet him and she held him for a couple weeks while we got our house ready and the transaction was super quick and easy. Barracuda was shy at first but quickly warms up to new friends. He really lives up to his name and cuddles like a chainsaw, but he’s so sweet and so smart and bonded to our family very quickly. He loves to run and go for walks and runs with his older sister. He’s been filling out and is much taller than when we picked him up! He’s quick as a whip and has learned to open gates and doors and his kennel latches. We love our Bear so much!

I can't say enough great things about Heather and the wonderful pup she helped us find.
