I'm Cydney R., the breeder behind Mountainside Aussies located in Witter, AR. We are a small, family-focused breeder raising Standard Australian Shepherds with an emphasis on health, temperament, and loving personalities. All of our puppies are handled daily by our children, helping them grow into confident, social, and gentle companions who are excellent with kids and family.
Q. & A. with Cydney
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always had a deep love for Australian Shepherds and their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature. Early on, I found it challenging to locate Aussies that were well-socialized with children and ready for family life. That inspired me to start breeding our own, with the goal of raising puppies that are not only healthy and well-adjusted but also gentle, confident, and family-friendly.
What makes your program special?
Our program is special because our puppies are raised with love and daily handling by our children, helping them grow into confident, gentle, and family-ready companions. We focus on early socialization, enrichment, and preparing each puppy to thrive in a loving home or as a capable working dog.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
