I'm Dana M., the breeder behind MTZCC Ranch, LLC located in San Isidro, TX. Here at MTZCC "Cruz Quadrada" Ranch (MTZ Crux Quadrata Kennel) we are homestead-based breeders dedicated to preserving the Italian Mastiff/Cane Corso working dog breed. Our dogs are raised on our ranch with our family & animals to provide excellent family, livestock and property guardians.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    As owners of Corsi we quickly found that they were great guardians and lovable family members when raised, trained & socialized properly. Being enthusiasts of this majestic breed desire only that they are preserved, understood and loved as they should be.

  • What makes your program special?

    As a small breeder we plan to have limited litters only when we need dogs for our ranch & homestead and have enough great homes to place our puppies. We believe in breeding puppies that make great pets & guardians, carefully selecting our breeding dogs and performing health checks to ensure the best possible outcome for our litters. We are very proud at how well our past puppies are developing and cannot thank their wonderful families enough for their research and dedication to love, train and socialize their new family members.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, fawn, gray, and gray brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Dana

Dana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Dana partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a 24-month genetic health guarantee, Veterinarian visit for tail docking & dewclaw removal, puppy vaccination, microchipping, and deworming. Cropping of ears if desired need to be arranged by new owner (recommended before 12-15wks). AKC Limited Registration will be given with PET/Companion puppy contract agreement (no breeding papers) or Full Registration upon breeder discretion. We are proud to offer 10% discount to Military, Veterans, First Responders, and Law Enforcement Officers. Buyer acknowledges that the Deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, including but not limited to if Buyer decides they do not want or is no longer able to take the puppy. If a puppy that meets Buyer's identified preferences is not available, Buyer may elect (a) to have the Deposit transferred to the next litter or (b) have the Deposit refunded. Breeder may (in its sole discretion) refund the Deposit to the Buyer.”

Dana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Working with Dana was such a pleasure she was very responsive and super sweet throughout our time together. Rudy has grown to be such a handsome boy, he can be such a big baby when he wants attention.
