I'm Robert K., the breeder behind Mudgett Island Retrievers located in Swanton, VT. I'm committed to producing healthy Labrador Retriever pups, and I do everything I can to prepare them for their forever families. I am a small-scale breeder, allowing me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

Why did you start breeding?
Labrador Retrievers are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities I found in my dogs. They excel both in their work and as companions. I am dedicated to improving my lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come. I have loved the process, and I enjoy placing my puppies in quality homes.
What makes your program special?
I focus on breeding dogs that have enough working drive to keep up with my lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting. I am passionate about what I do, and I would be thrilled to introduce you to your next companion.

They live in my home.
