I'm Nik S., the breeder behind MyHeartShihtzu located in Kentucky. I strive for quality while improving the health of the Shih-Tzu breed. I focus on breeding healthy pups with great temperaments. My dogs live in our home as family members and even travel with us often. Parents are health tested and puppies leave with a written health guarantee and vaccinations. Focus on the health, socialization, and temperament quality of babies.

What makes your program special?
I have learned a lot & want to do the best in improving the breed I admire. At first I was breeding the tiny Shih tzu's, thinking that it is OK to do so and was breeding responsibly. but realized mistakes I was making and I do not want to breed babies with possible more chances of health problems. Since I have started raising the standard size Shih tzu's & have been improving greatly as I learn.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Nik
Nik has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $100 deposit and between $1,400 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“My puppies will have 2 sets of puppy shots and be dewormed and started on paper training before leaving my home. Puppies are raised as family members, underfoot with lots of love and attention from us daily. Reservation fee is to hold puppy until ready. It is non-refundable if buyer changes their minds while holding the puppy for the buyer. If something happens to puppy while under MY care, reservation fee is to be refunded.”
Contract & health guarantee
Nik may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
