I'm Sandra M., the breeder behind Poem's Haven Rat Terriers..AKA Mysthaven Rat Terriers located in Ukiah, CA. Our program is built upon a foundation of love, admiration, and respect for our breeds. We focus on intentional breeding so that we can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. We enjoy training our dogs, competing in the performance ring, and spending lots of time with them doing a variety of other activities! We love our dogs dearly and are so proud of their accomplishments.

Why did you start breeding?
I went to my 1st dog show at the tender age of 4 years old at age 6 I was showing my 1st dogs I have been bitten by the dog show bug and have enjoyed every minute of the sportWhat makes your program special?
Each and every puppy that leaves this place takes a piece of my heart with them..my puppies are raised with the teaching of a puppy culture and they are my little babies until they go into your arms and become your babyWhat are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
American Hairless Terrier puppies have hairless coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Rat Terrier puppies are white and blue. American Hairless Terrier puppies include black and tan and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Sandra has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sandra partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"All babies go home with their special Goody bag it includes blankets toys dishes food food and everything they need to get started .I also will go over my contract with you and AKC papers at time to pick up .my puppies are health guaranteed parents are health tested and these puppies are guaranteed against any genetic defect. I have a non refundable deposit policy the terms are ...if I am unable to provide you with a puppy I will refund your deposit but if you just decide to change your mind and decide that you don't want the puppy I will keep the $500 deposit."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

So So grateful for my experience with Sandra and Poem's Haven. Howdy (new name Brooks) was 9 weeks at the time of pick up and they had a perfect keeping of his records shots extra chip tag information the whole 9 yards. You could tell they really loved their pets as Howdy has been so sweet and gentle his first couple of weeks that Ive had him. Highly recommend
