I'm Karen T., the breeder behind Mystic River Labradors located in Helena, MT. We love caring and connecting with animals and creating everlasting relationships. We currently have River and Missy; both are females and their personalities are so different. Our breeding is focused on blocky, stocky, versatile, quality, healthy puppies that will give a lifetime of joy.

Why did you start breeding?
I want to provide healthy, well-adjusted puppies that can provide a lifetime of joy and happiness to their family.What makes your program special?
My dogs are family first, they are health tested and I choose studs who have the same. My puppies are raised in the house with Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture protocols. I start clicker training at three weeks and house training at four weeks of age using a bell. Leash training and basic good manners are well underway before leaving for their new families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"The price includes 26 month guarantee on hips, elbows and genetic diseases tested by Embark, AKC Limited Registration (contact for full registration), first round of vaccines, deworming, puppy socialization, bell to aid in house training, microchip, copies of parents health clearances and photos of your puppies first 9 weeks. Deposit is refundable up to 5 weeks of age, after that it is non-refundable. All puppies are the same price regardless of sex, color or registration."

About Missy
Missy is a female Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Karen decided to make her part of their program. Karen has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Full Embark Panel, D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
