I'm Kathy D., the breeder behind Nana and Paws Aussies located in Godley, TX. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Australian Shepherd puppies & connect loving families with their new best friend! We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kathy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I found this gorgeous blue eyed puppy staring at me on Gooddog and I had to have her. I felt very comfortable with the whole process in knowing I was getting a genetically responsible breeder in Kathy, as she is a preferred vetted breeder with Gooddog. Kathy was so responsive in answering all my questions and being able to see how her puppies are raised in a happy safe environment was very important to us. We absolutely love our new puppy and she has wrapped us around her little paw.

Kathy was very helpful from the start of the process of getting our forever dog Maple. She facetimed us gave us a lot of tips and helpful information because this is our first dog. She sent me a lot of photos leading to pickup day. I flew in to Dallas to come pick up Maple and Kathy drove extra milage to come drop off Maple. She gave me so many goodies to start my puppy journey (Pee pads, leash, harness, food, treats, toys, and a blanket). I couldn't recommend someone more than Kathy and maple is just the best puppy as well.

Kathy was great to work with. I already had a 2 yr old female mini Aussie and I was looking to add a companion for her to our family. Originally, I was working to purchase a different puppy, however, the timing wasn’t right. Kathy is great in providing responses to any and all inquiries about her pups. Nova (2yr old) and Luna (12 weeks) bonded in 3 days. They are polar opposites. Luna adjusted to her new home in a couple of days (2-3 tough nights) but now she goes in her kennel willingly and remains quiet all night. She has done extremely well potty training; she goes to the door when she knows she needs to do her business. The purchase was simple. Kathy provided all the documentation, leash, blanket and farewell photo! Great experience!

Kathy was and is amazing. She was so knowledgeable and really stood out from all the others. She was kind, and explained everything well for me to understand. We have never had this breed before, and she was so helpful. We chose Stetson, and he is literally the smartest and best puppy we could have ever asked for. He has blended right into our family, and we have had no issues with him with behavior, anything. If we ever decide to add another new family member to our home we will go straight to her. We are truly thankful for Kathy trusting us with our Stetson.

Kathy was amazing to work with. She called and talked to me to find out the personality I was looking for and knew so much about her puppies traits. You can tell she spends a great deal of time with them. She sent me pictures and videos of our little puppy and was very transparent throughout the process. We have had Sienna for two weeks now and I’m so impressed at how well adjusted she is. She is great with our kids and isn’t excited about the cat or loud noises. I did a lot of research on breeders and Kathy comes out on top! Would definitely recommend a puppy from her 🥰
