Meet the breeder

I'm Carrie N., the breeder behind Native Doodles located in Columbia, TN. At Native Doodles, our dogs are raised in a natural environment and are never kenneled. We prioritize health through Embark genetic testing, early socialization, and thoughtful puppy-family matching to give every puppy the best possible start in life.

Q. & A. with Carrie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our love for doodles began after a family member struggled with severe allergies, leading us to discover what wonderful companions they can be. That experience sparked a passion for raising healthy, well-tempered dogs that enrich the lives of families. Today, we’re committed to thoughtful breeding, health testing, and placing each puppy in the home that’s the best fit.
  • What makes your program special?

We believe every puppy deserves the best possible start in life. Our breeding dogs are Embark health tested, and our puppies are raised in a natural environment with daily socialization and enrichment. We never kennel our dogs. We thoughtfully match each puppy with the right family and provide ongoing support, helping create lifelong bonds between our puppies and the families who love them.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sheepadoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and merle. Sheepadoodle puppies include merle and black and white. Aussiedoodle puppies include brown and white, brown merle, blue merle, red merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“We complete temperament evaluations at 7 weeks of age and take time to learn about each family’s lifestyle, experience, and goals. We then thoughtfully match each puppy based on personality and temperament to help ensure the best possible fit for both the puppy and their new family.”
