Kimberly D.

Breeder of Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Kimberly D., the breeder behind Nec Nivem Farm located in Lady Lake, FL. We offer Poodles that are exposed to a large variety of farm animals with a focus on temperament, trainability, and health. Our puppies are well socialized to all kinds of animals. These include other dogs, cats, horses (large and small), pigs, sheep, poultry, a house bunny, and even an Umbrella Cockatoo! They are raised in the home. It’s a very busy household so they are not afraid of loud noises or lots of movement.

Q. & A. with Kimberly

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started out working with and showing Basenjis. They are not well suited for farm life as their prey drive is much too high and they have their own special challenges as Basenji owners/breeders can attest to. While I love the breed I wanted to focus on raising an affordable well-bred Poodle that would thrive in any environment, especially on the farm.
  • What makes your program special?

My puppies are raised in the home and have a great start with socialization before they even go home with their families. They learn that many other animals exist and not to be afraid of them. I genetically test all potential parents to help ensure that I am raising the healthiest puppies possible. Temperments must be exceptional.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
