I'm Joseph C., the breeder behind Neuhund Mini Dachshunds located in Scio, OH. Neuhunds Mini Dachshunds began as a passion project rooted in a lifelong love for dogs and responsible breeding. With over 15 years of combined experience, our dogs are raised on two acres with a large fenced yard, giving them space to grow confident and well socialized.

Neuhunds Mini Dachshunds began with a lifelong love for dogs and years of hands-on experience raising and training multiple breeds. After adding our Mini Dachshund, Navi, to our family, our passion for the breed and commitment to responsible, ethical breeding led us to start Neuhunds to share the joy of well-raised Mini Dachshunds with others.What makes your program special?

Parent health testing

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
